Itinerary of Inca Trail
Day 1 - Cusco - Km 82 - Wayllabamba
Our guide will meet you at your hotel lobby at 06:30-07:00 (6:30-7am).
A four-day hike along the Inca Trail begins with transfer by comfortable bus to Km. 82. During the trip, the bus will pass through the beautiful Sacred Valley of the Incas and its unique landscapes.
After arriving in Km. 82, we will have a small rest and lunch.
In the meantime, all members of the tour must to register at the checkpoint. After that, we will start our hike along the Inca Trail, accompanied by porters*.
Our path will run through fertile lands with beautiful views of the snowy peaks Of Veronica Mountain and the Urubamba River. On the way to our first campsite, we will pass by Llactapata - an old Inca city. It is located on the top of the valley, which made it an excellent control-point of the entire area.
Further, after a short break we will continue hike. It will take one hour and a half to reach our first campsite in Wayllabamba.
At the conclusion of the first day, we will enjoy a dinner with coca tea at 19:00 (7pm).
Day 2 - Wayllabamba - Warmi Wañusca - Pacaymayo
Our second day will begin at 06:00 (6am). Before the start of the hike, we will pack our backpacks and have breakfast.
This day will be the most difficult of all. We will climb from the Wayllabamba village to the mountain pass Warmi Wañusca, from 3,000m to 4,200m above sea level. The climb will take about 4-5 hours. From Warmi Wañusca we will observe a panoramic view of all of entire Sacred an Urubamba Valleys.
After that, we will start the one-hour and a half descent to our second campsite in Pacaymayo.
Afterwards, we will have a rest and delicious lunch. We will spend time before dinner enjoying the place and its landscapes.
Day 3 - Pacaymayo - Puyhupatamarka - Wiñay Huayna
We will start the third day at 06:00 (6am). While breakfast is cooking, we will pack our backpacks. After satisfying breakfast, our hike will begin.
Today we will cross two important citadels of the Inca Empire - Runkurakay and Sayacmarka. We will have time to get know it.
After that, we will enjoy lunch with beautiful mountain view.
Then continue to the town above the clouds - Phuyupatamarka. From there we will have a spectacular view of the snow-capped peaks of the Peruvian Andes.
Afterwards, we will begin the two hours descent to Wiñay Huayna. This is, without a doubt, one of the best-preserved archaeological sites. It is surrounded by a lush tropical forest, where you can see a variety of plants, including some orchids.
At the conclusion of the day, we will arrive to our campsite, which is not far from Wiñay Huayna ruins. There you can use a hot shower**.
Further, we will enjoy a delicious dinner. After that we will say good-bye to our porters*** who accompanied us throughout the Inca Trail tour.

Day 4 - Wiñay Huayna - Inti Punku - Machu Picchu
Our fourth and last day will begin at 04:00 (4am). We will enjoy a delicious breakfast and have everything ready to make our way to the Lost City of Incas - Machu Picchu.
We will depart around 05:30 (5:30am). Our path will run through the rainforest to the Sun Gate - Inti Punku.
After the one-hour and a half hike, we will arrive to archaeological site Machu Picchu. We will leave our backpacks in the luggage room. After that, at 08:00 (8am) we will enter to the Lost City of Incas. Where the guide will show us the most important places of the citadel for 2 hours.
