Inca Jungle Machu Picchu
Tour designed for the lovers of the adrenaline, adventure and the nature. In only 4 days it covers walk the Andean and Forest Peruvian where you will be able to appreciate several archaeological centers, ancient Inca Trails and a big diversity of flora and fauna of the area.
Reaching the tour with a visit guided to the on of the seven World Wonder, Machu Picchu it is the Grand Prix after having crossed for valleys, coves and ways in the forest.
Itinerary of Inca Jungle Machu Picchu
Day 1 - Cusco - Ollantaytambo - Abra de Málaga - Santa María - Pispitayoc (Biking + Rafting).
We will initiate our excursion with your pick up from your hotel in Cusco between 05:30 am to 6:0 am to go out in the direction of the Sacred Valley of the Incas crossing beautiful villages and surrounded with the mountains and snowed up to coming to Ollantaytambo, here we will do a stop to be able to buy some things necessary for the trip.
From Ollantaytambo we will continue in our tourist transport to the highest point of the excursion, the Pass of Malaga (4. 200 mosl) where from we will have one of the best views of the Sacred Valley and of the way that takes Machu Picchu.
Depending on the climatological conditions our guide will indicate us when we will initiate the descent in bicycle for which will offer to us the necessary team as well as the safety instructions. The descent in bicycle will take approximately 3 hours in which we will pass for beautiful towns, ways of by-path, small waterfalls and little rivers to coming to Wamanmarka (Hawk town).
In this village we will have lunch and also we will have the option to visit its archaeological center which one it was an important control position for the travelers who were coming from the jungle towards the Peruvian Andes in pre Hispanic period.
After the lunch in Wamanmarka , we will keep on walking along an ancient Inca way towards the town of Santa Maria, in this town you will have the option to prove your skills in the water since you can realize White-water rafting in the river Urubamba (optional), which counts with level rapids III and IV (intermediate level).
The persons who have taken the white-water rafting finished this activity will return to Santa Maria to join with the group to keep on walking in approximately 45 minutes more up to the hostel in Pispitayoc where we will spend the first night.
Day 2 - Pispitayoc - Qellomayo - Santa Teresa (Caminata)
The second day we will initiate our walk after a delightful breakfast in Pispitayoc for the bank of the river Vilcanota climbing in approximately 30 minutes up to the top where from we will have a wonderful sight of the Valley of Urubamba, in the way we will be able to appreciate several breeding grounds, plantations of coffee, fruit-bearing trees and a big variety of birds and other proper animals of the area.
From the top we will descend for 2 hours and a half more or less until there comes to the people of Qellomayo place where we will have lunch.
Finished the lunch and after resting a little, we will keep on walking up to Santa Teresa doing our revenue for the thermal Qoqalmayo baths, here we will remain to enjoy the waters thermos flask medicinal after our walk.
In the evening we will continue towards the town of Santa Teresa where we will spend the second night.
Day 3 - Santa Teresa - Hidroeléctrica - Aguas Calientes (Caminata - Zip Line)
Early in the morning we will initiate the third day with a delightful breakfast to initiate the walk towards an area of control called Hydroelectric where we will come crossing an ancient Inca way for an average of 3 hours.
Optional: You can realize the Zip Line in Santa Teresa then to be moved in transport shared up to Hydroelectrics where you will join with the rest of the group.
From Hydroelectric after having lunch in this place, we will continue until Aguas Calientes to which we will come in 2 hours approximately across a way that offers the best sceneries of the tour surrounded with mountains, plantations and small waterfalls.
In Aguas Calientes, we will accomodated in our hostel previously booked. Later the whole group will meet with the guide to coordinate the meeting schedule to visit Machu Picchu the next day.
Day 4 - Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco
This day the meeting point will be in the entrance of Machu Picchu. You can arrive there walking for one hour and a half more or less or tackling the bus from Aguas Calientes (30 minutes), you will do both stretches for proper account and without the guide since he was waiting in the entrance to Machu Picchu citadel doing all the formalities for the group entrances.
We will enter to Machu Picchu with the guide, who will explain the importance of this place for 2 hours approximately during we will visit the most important places, finished we will have some time to walk up the areaby ourselves before returning to Aguas Calientes.
Depending on the hour of exit of the train towards Ollantaytambo, we will have time to have lunch or to visit the Hot Springs in Aguas Calientes (optional).
In the evening we will tackle the comeback train towards Ollantaytambo where our mobility will be waiting for us, finally to return the city of the Cusco.
