The city of Arequipa is located in southern Peru and has several tourist attractions among which are the volcanoes Misti and Chachani to where you can make day trips to more.

In addition to these places “White City of Arequipa” has an interested traditions and a rich history that are preserved in its museums, convents, churches and typical villages.

How to get to us?

You can reach this city by land and by flight, and these are the most popular routes.

From Lima:

There are daily flights from The Jorge Chavez airport in Lima to Rodriguez Ballon Airport in Arequipa, this trip lasts 1 hour and provide companies such as LATAM Airlines, Avianca and LC Peru.
Also available is the option to go by bus, leave Lima at night generally and are companies like Cruz del Sur, Tepsa, Oltursa and that made this journey in a route that takes about 15 to 17 hours with costs ranging from 80 soles to 240 soles depending on the service that you request.

From Ica:

The journey by bus lasts an average of 11 to 13 hours and have a cost between 50 to 220 soles.

From Cusco:

If you’re in the imperial city of Cusco and want to continue your trip to Arequipa, you have two options that will be much if you have time and want to visit Puno before or not.

Air: This option is the fastest and takes only 30 minutes from the Velasco Astete airport in Cusco to Arequipa Airport.

Land: The trip from Cusco to Arequipa by bus takes about 11 hours and there are several companies that offer this service with departures during the day and night. Prices range from 70 to 200 soles.

*If you take this option you can stay in Puno as during the route you will pass through this beautiful city.

From Puno:

The best alternative is by bus as it only takes 6 hours and costs range from 25 to 125 soles depending on the service and the company that you take.

There is also the alternative to take a flight of 30 minutes from the airport of Juliaca; but you must bear in mind that of Puno you will need to take a collective to Juliaca for your flight.

From Tacna:

If you do your income by the border with Chile, you can board a bus to Arequipa. These come out every day at different times (the journey time is only 6 hours).

*When you arrive at the airport or the bus terminal in Arequipa we recommend you take one of the authorised taxis to take you to your accommodation or to the city center where you will find a range of accommodations in case you have not booked in advance.
